The Trackless Sea, known as the Claarteeros Sea to the Sahuagin who laired within, was the name of the ocean due west of the continent of Faerûn.

The Trackless Sea ran from the Sea of Swords in the east to Maztica, where it was known as Taylola or the Eastern Ocean, and to Anchorome in the west. The sea also spanned north to the Sea of Moving Ice and south to the peninsula of Chult.

Conditions in the Trackless Sea were appropriate for magic of the Weave to naturally infuse some small stones, known as fog rocks, which would then wash-up on islands off the Sword Coast.
