Ravenscrest

Ravenscrest was a school of magic located in the Hushwood, east of Charlsville.

Students who wished to attend Ravenscrest were given an entry exam. They had to show that they had some affinity for magic.

Students received lessons about the eight different schools of magic, the history of magic, potions, magical creatures, plants with magical properties, and more.

The school contained a comprehensive research library, dormitories, kitchens and a dining hall, professors' quarters, classrooms, and grounds.

In the years 777-779, the school suffered the loss of several students who went missing. This culminated in the discovery that one of the professors at the school, Erodiel, had been abducting the children and using them for some sort of dark magic at his manor.

During the last few years the school was open, the students and professors began experiencing trouble with magic not working as it should. Something happened within the school that the administration did not disclose but the school was deemed too dangerous to remain open. The school was evacuated quickly, students were sent home and the school was placed under a magical spell to sink it below the ground to contain whatever it was that was causing magic to malfunction.
