The manor was the home of Erodiel, an elven professor at the Ravenscrest school.

The manor house was burned down by villagers who went to confront Erodiel about children who had been abducted. Remains of children were found at the manor but Erodiel was not there nor was he seen after. 

Tobi, Marra, Rhodan, Poro, and Nasee woke up in cells beneath the manor and had no memory of how they got there. They managed to escape their cells and make their way out of the manor.
