Aerisi was a sheltered moon elf princess, but few demands were made of her, and her adolescence was a boring cavalcade of would-be suitors and tiresome diversions. She has always been infatuated with the legends and myths of the Avariel (winged elves), to the extent that she pretends to be one. Aerisi fosters the deception by giving herself illusory wings; however, the wings do not grant flight. (When she must fly, Aerisi secretly casts a fly spell upon herself.)

Aerisi has attracted a coterie of loyal followers, all of whom are convinced she’s an Avariel. She is attended by a sycophantic band of singers and flute-playing minstrels called the Windwyrds.
