Island of Oscea

The island of Oscea is home to one of the oldest civilizations on Calea, home to the Nord.  The Nord are a semi nomadic people that the rest of the world call barbarians. A very reclusive people who most of the time go our of their way to avoid even each others clans.  Of course except when they are raiding the other tribes lands for their sheep, or food.  But should a foreign power visit the island the Nord band together quickly to drive away the interlopers.  No nation who has tried has managed to subjugate the Nord.  Many a nation has stories of their attempts of settling on the island only to be faced with hordes of near unstoppable Nord berserkers, mighty druids who charged into battle as great beasts or called the very elements down on their foes. The darkest stories tell of terrifying Warlocks wading into battle with lithe foul blades all the while feeding on the life energy of friend or foe near.  Of course Oscea is so rocky no other nation has found it worth very much effort either.  

As on the Map there are a number of settlements noted, each settlement is the home of the Clans Chieftain, its priests and the elders who advise the Chieftain.  These settlements most of the year only have the Chief of the clan and its priests which are made up of Druids & Warlocks.  The Nord worship the Feylords of the Feywild, their priests either become druids to interpret the will of the Feylords or Warlocks who make packs with them to protect their tribe. 

  The larger the settlement the bigger the tribe with the Telba being the largest tribe of all.  The druids and warlocks when not praying tend fields of hardy barely and tubers.  The priests are also well known for brewing a rather strong ale, and each year there is a moot at the Telba holding where there is trading, competitions in arms, strength and best brewed ale.  

The Nord raise and herd sheep and goats along with  haired cattle called Highlands Cattle or the Heilan Coo traveling with their herds as they graze.
