This is a very indulgent kingdom, very Cockaigne in concept.  The Duke of Darr is a prime example of the hedonistic lifestyle common among the Andrasians.  The all-work and no-play avoidance goes through all levels of the kingdom.  They get their work done and then enjoy the rest of their life.

Geological Description

This kingdom is on the western side of Dwarzon.  It's western duchy is very swampy fens where the many springs that start in its mountainous center drain to the Heart Sea.  Its northern duchy is a winter wonderland with unnatural levels of chill compared to other regions as far north, in that the land is covered in snow for a good three-quarters of the year.  The southern duchies are well above sea level with high cliffs down to the seas.  To the east of Andra is the great desert of Antassi.

The kingdom of Andras is a land of stunning, sun-kissed vistas. Its rolling hills leading to the mountains and verdant valleys are dotted with vineyards, olive groves, and charming villages built from limestone and red brick. Renaissance-style architecture graces the bustling cities, with marble palaces, sprawling piazzas, and towering cathedrals that symbolize the kingdom’s deep sense of culture, art, and history. The grand capital city sits in the mountains, its streets lined with columns and frescoes depicting the heroes of Andras’ golden age.

Nobility here is refined, with politics and courtly intrigue flowing as easily as wine at feasts. Andras’ knights are known for their finesse in battle, favoring strategy and skill over brute force, and the kingdom itself thrives on trade, especially with its maritime neighbors.

However, beneath the surface of grandeur, Andras is a place of feuding families, with ancient rivalries simmering in the background. These tensions are often masked by the kingdom’s famous festivals and carnivals, where masks and disguises are donned not just for celebration but to conceal alliances and plots.
