Vailbarrow

Vailbarrow is the larger of the two cities, nestled in a natural bay, high walls, and sprawling markets, filled with goods from all across Sul and beyond. The city thrives on trade, with bustling docks where medieval galleys and Sulian airships anchor side by side, unloading everything from exotic spices to Sulian tech devices smuggled in under the watchful eye of the authorities.

Vailbarrow’s medieval guilds still hold significant influence, controlling much of the commerce and maintaining the old traditions of craftsmanship. The city's main stronghold is ruled by a Sulian governor and a Paliance duke, who share the city’s governance in an uneasy alliance. Though Sulian advancements are present, such as primitive airships that augment sea trade, Vailbarrow’s people pride themselves on preserving the city’s rich history and knightly traditions.

The city has a formidable navy and a well-trained militia loyal to both Sul and Paliance. However, the ongoing Suel Lan raids have strained the city’s resources, as it struggles to fend off the rebellious forces attacking from the sea and attempting to siege its high stone walls.
