Xiantou

Population: Approximately 6300; primarily human, some Hengeyokai.

Government:  Two factions struggle for control of the city, an order of sorcerers and arcanists and several wealthy merchants.

1. The Crimson Rose: A fanciful elven inn, decorated with dungeon doors.
2. Kichi's Masonry: A large stonemason's workshop, hewn from a single massive outcrop of rock.

1. Mifuj Yoshin: Male Bushi. Yoshin has blonde hair and gray eyes, and a tangled moustache. He wears scale mail and wields a long sword and shield. Yoshin is a terrible liar.
2. Hano Tsake: Male Kensai. Tsake has a square face, with gray hair and blue eyes. He wears leather armor and wields a spear and javelins.
3. Kusuo Kinao: Female Bushi. Kinao is tall, with red hair and soft blue eyes. She wears chain mail and wields a spear and short bow. Kinao has an animal companion, a ginger cat named Imon.
4. Hiki Aisan: Female Korobokuru Peasant. Aisan has long blonde hair and amber eyes, and a beaked nose. She wears modest garments and riding boots. Aisan is well-spoken and confident.

Archarch District

Notable Places:

1. Tami's Anvil: A cluttered blacksmith's workshop, built around a volcanic fissure filled with flames.
2. The Guildhall: A large building of stone walls, decorated with wrought-iron lamps. It contains a large meeting hall and several smaller rooms, and is shared amongst several local trade guilds.
3. The Shrine of Kaki Teri: A stone niche enshrining an idol of Kaki Teri, Lady of Shields, said to be sometimes visited by the goddess hersSpirit Folk.

1. Odan Junko: Female Merchant. Junko has red hair and gray eyes. She wears travel-stained clothing and carries a long knife. Junko seeks to atone for past sins.
2. Sara Micho: Female Korobokuru Bushi. Micho is exceptionally beautiful, with curly brown hair and soft hazel eyes. She wears studded leather and wields a mace and shield. Micho is hunting those who knew her in a previous life of crime.
3. Taka Kage: Male Korobokuru Alchemist. Kage has uneven brown hair and gray eyes. He wears expensive clothing and a silver amulet. Kage secretly serves Moraie, an ancient god of trickery.

Armorer's Borough

Notable Places:

1. The Clockwork: A large pyramid of rotating gears and ticking escapements, crafted from brass and inscribed with incoherent labyrinths. No-one seems to know who created it, nor when, nor its purpose.
2. Sako's Carvings: The workshop of a female woodcarver named Nara Sako, known for her weirdly life-like wooden dolls.

1. Matsai Shano: Female Servant. Shano is tall, with short brown hair and narrow green eyes. She wears modest garments and a bronze amulet. Shano is extravagant and impartial.
2. Tama Sako: Female Hengeyokai Servant. Sako has a narrow face, with straight black hair and large gray eyes. She wears sturdy clothing and a wooden holy symbol.
3. Mato Moru: Male Hengeyokai Aristocrat. Moru is common in appearance, with cropped silver hair and bright amber eyes. He wears fine raiment and jewelry. Moru is confident and wise.
4. Shira Mari: Female Servant. Mari is exceptionally beautiful, with uneven gray hair and narrow hazel eyes. She wears well-made clothing and several small tools hang from her belt. Mari is only friendly towards other humans.

Dock Ward

1. Greenhome: A single story timber and brick building which has been completely overgrown by flowering vines scale-like leaves thorny vines writhing vines. It is the home of Mammet, a young green dragon and sage.
2. Mitsae's Masonry: A neglected stonemason's workshop, built around a shrine of Taki Akan, Lady of Earth.

1. Tsaka Tomiyo: Female Geisha. Tomiyo has brown hair and narrow amber eyes. She wears modest garments and carries a fine stiletto. Tomiyo is dying and desperately seeks the secret of immortality.
2. Saka Nako: Female Ninja. Nako has braided blonde hair and sharp green eyes. She wears leather armor and wields a dagger. Nako has an animal companion, a giant spider named Kasu.

Market

1. Okan Ikokiyo: Female Bushi. Ikokiyo has messy copper hair and soft blue eyes, and a sharp nose. She wears studded leather and wields a ranseur. Ikokiyo is extremely suspicious of dwarves.
2. Yodan Nori: Male Bushi. Nori has uneven red hair and hazel eyes, and numerous distinctive tattoos. He wears leather armor and wields a flail. Nori is extremely suspicious of dwarves.

Merchant's Farthing

Notable Places:

1. The Eye of Horus: An ancient bronze statue of a male warrior with the head of a falcon. It is said that anyone who sacrifices one of their own eyes before the statue can see and speak with Death until the next dawn.
2. The Beggar's Ring: A ring of rune-carved stone monoliths stands beside the street, usually attended by beggars and waifs. Anyone who stands within the ring and tosses aside a gold coin can teleport to any street location within town.

3. Koma Noro: Male Hengeyokai Merchant. Noro has matted red hair and brown eyes, and a curly moustache. He wears sturdy clothing and a wooden holy symbol.
4. Kaga Juro: Male Servant. Juro has short golden hair and sharp blue eyes, and a thin nose. He wears well-made clothing and several pouches hang from his belt. Juro is arrogant and dishonest.

Servant's Borough

1. A broken obelisk of weathered stone, which glows with magical light upon the night of the full moon.

2. Fune's Pottery: The workshop of a female potter named Nokiya Fune, who was once a great wizard, but retired to marry and raise a family.
3. The King's Stone: It is said that the legendary hero Kami Susu drew the sword Goblinreaver from this anvil of blackened stone and became king of the realm.

1. Tsuhi Sane: Male Samurai. Sane has straight copper hair and green eyes, and a thin beard. He wears chain mail and wields a bastard sword and long bow. Sane is cowardly and deceitful.
2. Tagi Hanshi: Male Alchemist. Hanshi has auburn hair and blue eyes, and a thin nose. He wears fine clothing and a silver holy symbol.
3. Otan Rito: Male Spirit Folk Artist. Rito is short and slender, with cropped blonde hair and brown eyes. He wears well-made clothing and numerous rings. Rito is searching for the legendary dwarven kingdom of Zarakzund.
