D&D 5e Campaign Setting

04/05/26Although the continent of Sycharia can be home to a myriad of campaigns, there is a driving force threatening to end it all. A campaign set in Sycharia will likely have to deal with this issue at one time or another. Two thousand years before the current time, a group of elven necromancers tried and failed to become gods. When they did that, they opened a doorway to another world and let in a terrible being named the Blood King, or as his followers call him, the Beloved. The Beloved was trapped in a place called the Void Realm by the forces of good and freedom to keep him from destroying everything, but he is still there waiting to be set loose. His followers, led by the Tri-Barony of Tidestone and a cult called the Church of Blood will do anything to find and reform an ancient artifact called the Stave of Ischarlin; when they do, they will release the Blood King and re-make all existence according to the Blood King's desires. Depending on one's perspective, this could be a very bad thing...or it could be the best thing ever.
Welcome to Sycharia, a new D&D setting. Though it is just one continent, Sycharia is teeming with varied cultures, localesm peoples, and monsters. It is home to powerful forces of evil and ancient paragons of good. The continent of Sycharia is approximately the size of Texas+Colorado on a world called Evermorn. The rest of the world is populated with continents and islands amidst a vast ocean. On this unusual fantasy world, set in the D&D 5e rule set, magic, gods, and power flow from the universe itself. This book will walk you through the complex societies, pantheons, and conflicts to begin your campaign.
If you are a Dungeon Master, this book will help you create a D&D campaign set in a land of war, intrigue, and adventure. If you are a player, this book will help you forge an identity and a destiny for adventure.
Like all worlds, Sycharia has conflict and mystery. On one side of this coin are those gods, kings, and powerful rulers that want control of others and their world. On the other side are those that do not want to control others but wish to control their own fate and future and believe in freedom for others to make their own choices and live in peace. Finally, there is a third group, led by the powerful being, Grosh al' Dryn (the Blood King), who want to remake the entire universe into a new order.
Between these three competing desires, often torn between them, are the heroic adventurers you create:
Will you seek to enforce order through power and control?
Will you strive for freedom for yourself and others.
Will you strive to destroy the world order and free Grosh al' Dryn to remake the world into a new and better place?
