The University of Greyhaven

The University of Greyhaven is the largest and most renowned school in Mennara for studying magic or the sciences. Students who aren't magically inclined still flock here to become Maesters (or advisors/healers, etc.) to their local lords. Students generally start here when they are 13 and have already learned some of the basics, either at small schools, or from their own Maesters. Typically, magical graduates of the college tend to be specialist mages or specialty priests (as Divine magic is also taught here). Some students even try to delve into more forbidden branches of magic, though this is often quickly discouraged, as their practice is technically illegal in most baronies.

The University is easily the tallest manmade structure in Mennara, and you can see it for miles before you even see the rest of the city.
