Naga settlement in the jungles of Zanaga

A great ziggurat shines above a walled town, and can be seen for some distance. Its steppes are carved with intricate pictograms that tell the story of a holy naga that cleansed the land of raiders to help protect the people in the village below. The town is encased in a sturdy stone wall, with a gate on the east wall. The gate is guarded by heavily armored guards and Nagas of different types, but not all of them carry weapons with them. Inside, the buildings are a mix of architecture - some are very obviously new, but others look to be built on top of existing structures suggesting that at some point, the entire town has been torn down and built again.
