Flying Citadel

Little is known about the Flying Citadel, only that it was reported during the Second Darkness, and used by the draconic forces as a mobile staging area for Hybrid troops. There have been many reported sightings since, but it is never to be found when any significant force is sent to investigate it.

The current rumors is that it serves as the Headquarters for the Cult of the Dragon, but many feel the group is not nearly that organized. In addition, when it has been observed, it has not appeared to be manned, but then this would be difficult to see from the ground. The citadel has never been reported as moving fast, so it is unknown how it can vanish when forces are sent to confront it when seen.

During the Dragon Wars, of the Second Darkness, flights of Hybrids would emerge from the citadel to engage the combined forces of Terrinoth. How it flies is still unclear, though many sages argue that like other vast magical structures, it is likely powered by one of the shards of the original Orb fashioned by Timmoran.
