Ulvescov

This area is populated by humans, many of whom are connected to the Old Blood clans.  The Old Blood often have the gift, but many do not.  They are arranged in general clan structures although the lands are also populated by bandits, orcs, and raiders.  The Steward of Ulvescov is Arving, an elderly Old Blood with a Brown Bear as a companion. The Steward leads the rangers and oversees the education of young Old Blood children in the region.  Justice is swift in Ulvescov, but banditry is not outlawed except against members of the clans.  Robbery is often ignored.  Murder is a different story.  Any person found guilty of murder of an Old Blood or Old Blood companion will likely find themselves torn to pieces by animals.  The regions has fewer than 75,000 inhabitants despite its large size.  The largest town is Savicstov and has around 10,000 permanent inhabitants.  The town is known for its high quality horses and woodwork.  Many of the residents make a living through logging the Black Oak common to this section of the ancient forest.  Most residents live in small communities with populations of 100-500 led by a matriarchal elder system.
