The central mountain and savannah region of the Ischarlin Wilds

08/06/22"My experiences in the Makanta region are limited to a short expedition to trade with the leonin prides of the coastal region. Recent residents (within the last 200-300 years), the Makanta Leonin are a proud, nomadic people. By report, they believe the area to be rich in lost artifacts and the potential for glorious quests and adventure.
The region is equally as dangerous as the Yashix Region, fraught with mighty beasts of the plains towering above the arid grassland. Moreover, the Makanta Borunai are inhospitable, clashing often with the leonin over hunting grounds and the frequent mazes of canyons and powerful floods and earthquakes. The days can be as hot as the most brutal deserts of the Deliverer Barrens."
There are two settlements of note in the Makanta Region, the leonin semi-permanant encampment of Olym and the Red Orc and goblin encampment of Drekmhan. Small villages of Borunai Tabaxi, leonin, escaped slaves, goblins, humans, half-elves, hill dwarves, and several roving bands of hobgoblins make up the remaining population of this region. The region is plagued by large sabretooth cats, raptors, giant bats in the nights, and stampedes of large lizards. The Jangua Borunai patrol the region from the skies from a village high in the mountains.
