The Uldoon Trail

The Uldoon Trail is a vital trade route winding through the Greenfields of the Sword Coast and Western Heartlands. Stretching eastward from Nashkel, it passes through key settlements such as Greenest and Berdusk before reaching its terminus in Asbravn. Serving as the most direct link between the roads heading east and the Coast Way to the south, the trail is a favored path for merchant caravans navigating the region. Along its course, it intersects with the Dusk Road at Asbravn and the Skuldask Road just south of Berdusk, and it crosses the River Chionthar, further enhancing its strategic importance.

The trail's name carries a dark legacy, originating from Uldoon, a malevolent wizard who once ruled the lands between the Wood of Sharp Teeth and the Cloud Peaks. His reign of terror came to an end when he was slain by an unnamed paladin wielding the holy sword Dornavver, a heroic tale immortalized in the popular ballad "Uldoon's Doom."
