The Shaengarne River

The Shaengarne River flows from Maer Dualdon in Icewind Dale to the Sea of Moving Ice. The city of Bremen is situated at the river's source, where it outflows from the lake, while the city of Ironmaster lies at the river’s mouth, where it meets the sea.

Over 60 scoop-tunnels and viaducts, constructed by the dwarves of Ironmaster, siphon off the river's water for use by the city. Additionally, a series of elaborate spill basins and diversions have been built to prevent flooding during the spring runoff. The inhabitants of Ironmaster are known for engaging in spearfishing along the Shaengarne River. Each spring, Shaengarne salmon return to the river's cold waters to breed, providing a significant food source for local fishermen and bears alike.
