Cragmaw Castle

Cragmaw Castle is a formidable stronghold located in the southwest corner of the Neverwinter Wood on the Sword Coast North. Positioned northeast of the Cragmaw Hideout, the castle serves as the headquarters for the ruthless Cragmaw Tribe of goblins, bugbears, and hobgoblins.

Constructed of ancient stone, Cragmaw Castle features multiple towers, though many have fallen into disrepair and lie partially collapsed. Despite its weathered appearance, the castle remains a symbol of the tribe's power and a base for their operations in the region.

Inside, the stronghold consists of several key areas:

• Barracks: Housing the tribe’s warriors, these quarters are a hub of activity, filled with crude bedding and weapon racks.
• Storage Rooms: These chambers contain looted supplies, weapons, and provisions taken from raided caravans and travelers.
• Banquet Hall: A rough and grim gathering place where the tribe feasts and holds war councils, often echoing with the sounds of raucous celebration or violent disputes.
• Shrine to Maglubiyet: Dedicated to the goblinoid god of war and conquest, this shrine is a place of dark rituals and brutal reverence, underscoring the tribe’s devotion and violent culture.
• King Grol's Quarters: The private domain of the tribe’s leader, King Grol, these quarters reflect his brutal authority. Furnished with plundered treasures and symbols of his dominance, it serves as both a throne room and personal chamber.
