The Golden Dragon Tea House

The Golden Dragon Teahouse is the largest tea import and export service in Freeport. They have several well-guarded warehouses, a fleet of dedicated merchant ships, and a large commercial center in the High District, maintaining its position due to being one of the oldest businesses in Freeport. The Valderamos Family has run the Golden Dragon for near two hundred years and is one of the Founding Families of Freeport. The storefront in the High District is a high-end Tea House, serving an incredible variety of teas sourced from all over Calea, and blended by the Tea Masters to create a wide variety of flavors, tastes, and purposes. Certain expensive blends are known for their healing properties, others recover energy for the most exhausted of drinkers, while others are known for enhancing one’s senses or providing artificial chemical highs. The Golden Dragon does not sell these particular blends to anyone who comes in from the street though. One must be invited to become part of the Golden Dragons, a social club that has a very high entry fee and yearly membership cost. It is a good opportunity to gain access to normally unreachable high society parties, soirees, and formal dinners. The Dragon Council decide if members are allowed entry or allowed to renew their memberships. Still, one can enter the Golden Dragon, drink ridiculously expensive and tasty teas, and dine on pastries filled with exotic fruits, nuts, and flavors from across Calea, if one’s pockets are deep enough.
