Where Poor People Live

Every town has its poorest quarter, and Puckett's Ridge is no different.

Honestly, have you ever heard of the Barrows? No? Probably because no one talks about it, because there's really nothing good to say.

The Heroes of the Ridge insist on growing the town of Puckett's Ridge, but since they are neither city planners, urban developers, nor politicians, there's really nothing that can be done when people from all over the world show up, saying they were told they could live here. With the other neighborhoods being gentrified with original residents and immigrants with money, those without a small fortune inevitably wind up in the Barrows—a squalid neighborhood to the east (closest to the Howling Caves).

If there's one thing Puckett's Proper, Old Town Market, New Azul, and Little Verdun all have in common, its their ability to feel superior to and ignore the problems in the Barrows.

However, not all is lost in the Barrows. Despite its perpetual poverty, crime remains low, thanks to the Puckett's Ridge Town Guard. The Temple of Harmony is located here, with Listra and Jarmak the Younger providing services to the destitute residents. Prior to her arrest in A Lot to Take In, Drusilia had her wagon here, offering her services to anyone who seeks out her help.

Notable Locations:

  • Listra's Temple (destroyed)
  • Temple of Harmony
