Xorixox's Tower

A stereotypically foreboding monolith carved by blood-red iron and dark stone that stands at the edge of the Dragonridge Mountains near Three Falls. Constructed by demon slaves at the behest of Xorixox Skarm, this structure it under a permanent invisibility spell to those further than 50 feet away, keeping its location discreet and safe from the prying eyes of holy and just adventurers.

Inside is far more spacious than the outside would appear, with multiple rooms for study, research, and a large banquet hall. Xorixox has place the entire tower under a permanent distort summons spell, and planar travel is restricted to and from the Abyss.

The main gathering room is a sort of demonic observatory, filled with unholy books, scrolls, and tomes of forbidden lore. The ceiling is enchanted to scry upon different abyssal layers, often rotating seemingly at random, while Xorixox uses several mirrors to scry upon specific layers, demons, or other things of interest. Here, demons of all sorts gather to perform various duties under Xorixox's careful eye. Although the demonologist had declared the area to be free from infighting, this does not prevent demons from occasionally lashing out at each other, and certainly not against any visitors.

The tower also features a large banquet hall, crafted specifically to accommodate demons of all shapes and sizes for feasts or business meetings. Xorixox likes to show off his impressive collection of abyssal hooch and exotic cuisine, most of which would be considered downright taboo for mortals, but pleasing to his demonic guests.

The Heroes of Verdun visited Xorixox in his tower during We're Off to See the Wizard, where they met the demonologist, a bunch of miscellaneous demons, and a cadre of enemies past and present. Following a complete mess of a brawl in the banquet hall (which ultimately ended with the death of Xorixox), the Heroes escaped during the ensuing chaos.

Once they were safely outside of the tower, Malchior launched some charged sonic arrows at it, bringing the tower toppling down on top of whatever foul inhabitants remained fighting within.
