Throughout this floor you need a Perception Roll (Hearing) until found.

From the stairwell landing:

  • Exiting the stairwell places visitors in a hallway extending north roughly 20 feet.
  • A hidden-looking door in the south wall (easily missed if the stairwell door remains open) leads to the SW Guest Room.
  • The hallway turns east after 20 feet and continues another 15 feet before ending at the Central Room.

Central Room

A circular chamber approximately 25 feet in diameter.

Features:

  • Plush rugs.
  • A chandelier of softly glowing crystal.
  • Four identical doors spaced evenly around the chamber.
  • Every door opens only when the right handle is pulled. Pulling the left handle causes the door to remain stubbornly shut.

The north, east, and south exits lead into short hallways toward the outer ring of the tower. Each hallway ends with a guest room door on the left-hand side.

Guest Rooms

Every guest room contains:

  • A massive gaudy canopy bed.
  • A polished dresser.
  • Thick carpets.
  • An enchanted fireplace that never fully warms the room.
  • A private bathing chamber.

Every bathroom contains:

  • An 8-foot steaming tub, approximately 2 feet deep.
  • A built-in stone seat within the tub.
  • Endless warm water supplied by ancient enchantment.
  • Lavender- or rose-scented steam depending on the room.

No occupant remembers who lights the candles or refreshes the linens.

Occupants of Floor 4

These “guests” are not prisoners in the traditional sense. They may wander the floor freely, eat conjured meals, bathe, sleep, and converse. Yet almost none willingly ascend the tower.

  • SW Guest Room
    Sir Garrick Vale (Humanish, mid-40s.)
  • NW Guest Room
Lady Mirabelle Thorne (Humanish, early 30s.)
  • NE Guest Room
Baron Edric Hollowmere (Humanish, late 20s.)
  • SE Guest Room
Dame Ysoria Flint (Humanish, early 50s)
