A family run, though strange tavern (57)

Good drinks, good food, and good service, though often some odd menu items. The decor of the place is also a bit strange. A large, stuffed Beholder is mounted above the bar, and many other stuffed creatures and unusual monsters adorn the walls.

The tavern is one of the oldest structures in town....existing long before there was a town and in Olafs family. Most of the stuffed creatures are decades old or more. Olafs brother loves cooking strange monsters but Olaf has the coinpurse. He'll also be keen on recipes and cookbooks from all over.

Many bards frequent this place, for they often get free room and board, if they are even halfway decent. Olaf enjoys the entertainment, and Natasha enjoys the customers they bring.

Repeat visitors will often note how nearly every wooden beam is inscribed in runes. If one detects for magic, they will indeed glow. Olaf and the staff have repeatedly denied knowing when they were put there, or why...they simply have always been there. Olaf is not keen on learning more about them, as he figures if there was any harm from them, they'd know by now, and he isn't a big trusting person of magic anyhow.

Olaf also introduced himself. (As he does when folks order the pricier menu items).

ADV 1. Natasha was the group's server. Recommended by Derek (from Landrec). The group bought him a meal as well. Most sampled ciders but Amethesia tried the Bloody Eye specialty.
