Casino games, legal fights and duels (when sanctioned).

For the Octoshan, there is a great YouTube battlemat available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9I0NGlGNu3Y  (and yep, it's a damn octagon!)

1.       (Legal Fights) use Macauley’s Gambling House (CBII-27). “Hata Macauley” (Half Elf, female). “Kendol” (Human, Casino boss), “Norgus Kybo” (Human, Wizard 4). Game called “Octoshan” (see area F), where fighters basically duke it out (think D&D meets MMA), but with swords. Such fights are only to the death when there are officially declared duels, sanctioned by the Baron and the Sheriff. “Macauley’s Stout” (a dark ale) is a house specialty here (10gp, and strong) as well as the "Octagon" (Vodka and Moonshine, for 10gp), Hata (Cockney Marm accent), Kendol (gruff, COM 17, think Zito), Norgus (Ross Perot)

Most live upstairs.

3 days after "shat-based" betting took hold, Hata had a door added in the Octoshan arena (F) to go out to the Privy (E) to ensure there was no "advantage" in play.

ADV 1. Torrun, Sidric, and Amethesia made money betting on the Brute vs. Monk Octoshan fight. Avella lost a little on the monk. Torrun and Sidric also did well at the tables. Amethesia sampled the Octagon specialty drink of vodka and moonshine. Sir Sgoth started the trend of Shat-based wagering.
