Olym

Achilah, chieftain of the Olym Tribe, rules the mighty leonin of the Zarshim Fields and coast with a stern , often cruel, hand. Sire of more than 12 sons and daughters, Achilah now commands a ten ship fleet of sailing vessels that protect the coast from pirate raiders. Olym has a greek-inspired culture with a small fleet of triremes. There is an arena for combat. Hunting and trade trade with Red Flare and the Spine Islands dominates the economy. Often plagued with nearby yuan-ti, the Makanta Orc and Goblins of the Red Flare have developed a relationship of trade and competition with the leonin of Olym. Young warriors prove themselves by going into an ancient field to find artifacts from ancient battles.  The Makanta Borunai only rarely visit the town, but there is a non-hostile attitude toward the tribes.  

 In Olym, any chance to show off one’s physical, social, or intellectual prowess is a welcome one, and there’s no opportunity better than the annual festival. On this day, friendly and not-so-friendly contests between residents are settled. Every public space is filled with festival games, food stalls, or other amenities for the merrymakers, and plenty of shops and private residences have flung their doors wide to join in the revelry. Tauroks pull carts through the crowded streets. On the outskirts of town and in between buildings large domed hills with ladders to the top sport round huts and lines of customers. Goblins and orc toss down food and wares to customers below. The streets are dirty with sand and food. Cats and 1.5 foot long downy creatures with small horns scamper around eating anything dropped by festival goers. Goblin children being chased by their families dart through the crowd with small pinwheels, laughing. Banners stretch between buildings with brightly colored flags flapping in the cool ocean breeze. Music seems to come from everywhere as buskers play skin drums and flutes. Occasionally, a group of similarly clad orcs, humans, goblins pushes through to rush up to a gamemaster. 

Population: 2000 leonin, 175 minotaur, 1700 orc, 100 half-orc, 50 tabaxi, 200 humans, 100 half-elves, 200 drow half-elves, 150 goblins, 100 other from around the continent. 

Economics: Primarily trade and sport hunting tourism
