Mount Vylnilninyr

Mount Vylnilninyr once existed in the present location of Lake Nyrlin in Tidestone.  It was the home of the dwarven kingdom of Ghimlinor.  For many in Sycharia, Tidestone is still called the ash lands.  People who live in the high mountains of the Sky Peaks or Tidestone are called sometimes called ashlings because of black, volcanic soil.  It is this rich soil that has contributed to the abundance of timber and farmland in the region. 

After the explosion of the volcano, all life above ground life was destroyed in the Tidestone region except a few score dwarves who survived in the Granite Hills.  There are still rocky sections of the Jagged Reach that have dwarven carvings blown nearly 50 leagues away.  For years, sailors have told tales of dwarven gold buried in the Jagged Reach from the explosion of Mount Vylnilninyr.
