GM, Player, Creator, Game Designer, and Crazy Loon
Gaming Profile
I am primarily a GM who runs homebrew worlds. My commonly run systems are Rolemaster/Spacemaster (version 2 heavy modded and errated, not FRP or RMSS), Hero System, Pathfinder, DnD, and Champions. I am always willing to give a new system a go. I am looking to add potentially WOIN or Savage Lands to my usual games.
The first two-page game (Plague Rats and Prophets) is waiting for approval at Drivethrurpg and will be published hopefully in mid-May 2023. A link will be added once it goes live.
One or two more like this before the base rule set will be published. There are 2 more game systems that are similar and build off one another to a wide-ranging flexible system that can accommodate any genre. The new multi-genre system is skills-based and does not use a leveling system. The system shares some inspiration from games such as Rolemaster, Shadowrun, GURPS, and Hero System.
My Story
I played my first RPG way back in 1983. I started to GM the same year. (Looking at older books and notes, I see I started early. I did have to revise the date because of my digging in.) I started to GM because not many would and so I tried it. It did not take long until I started to see where I was not good at it. This is when I started to read and watch more movies so I knew could borrow ideas. Not long after I started to see patterns and players became more engaged and involved. It was around 1987 that I was introduced to MERP and maybe two months later Rolemaster. It was here I saw how flexible a game could be. One of the formative GMs was met then (I have long forgotten his name, one of my failings) and he taught me to improve and do better. How everything, even things you have already run was a resource. He taught me to both play better and run better. I hope I have done the same for others along the way. Share the games, shares the stories, share the fun.
