Top Secret: New World Order Administrator: Campaigns Black Church and Cold War; Dungeonmaster: Campaign Galencia
Farm kid from Iowa. Raised in Winfield, in southeast Iowa. My dad was a farmer and county supervisor. My mom was an elementary school teach. One sister who works for the Federal Bureau of Prisons. After graduation from Iowa State University with degrees in mathematics, statistics, and physics - I joined the United States Air Force as a pilot. After that stint, I became a reliability engineer for Rockwell International - later becoming a project engineer for Rockwell Collins. While at Rockwell, I received my MBA from Nova Southeastern University.
I left Collins in 1998 to become the Director of Engineering for Crystal Group in Hiawatha, Iowa. As the company went through the telecom downturn, I became president in 2003. We changed track to become a military computer company. We are now a very fast growing small company with computers on over 500 military programs and platforms including every submarine in the US Navy, every ship in the US Navy, the P-8A Poseidon (plus international variants), the B-2 bomber, and numerous other communication and signals exploitation programs.
I am married with four kids (two daughters and two sons).
I have played D&D, Boot Hill, Gamma World, Star Frontiers, and Top Secret. My new favorite game is Top Secret, New World Order. It is a revamped version of the 1980s Top Secret. I have two active campaigns (one more active than the other). It is an amazing game with very rapid story advancement and significant options for the direction to take the game and characters.
I did have a D&D campaign called Galencia that had essentially the same group for almost 31 years. We switched to 3rd edition with it and when the characters all reached 18+ level it become not so much fun to DM or for the players to play. So, one of the players has just started DM'ing a first level 1st Edition game.
